long silver cigar shaped object near Pittsburgh

Driving home to Canada with my husband on Highway 79 heading towards Pittsburgh PA, I saw a cigar shaped thing in the sky. What grabbed my attention was the speed more than anything. It looked whitish underneath, kind of like a mist. I was telling my husband to look at it but he couldn't see anything because he had to keep his eyes on the road. It was travelling in a westerly direction and quickly disappeared out of sight. I have never seen anything move that fast ever. I live near an airport in Ontario, so I see many different kinds of airplanes and helicopters.
