circular objest sighted over Cuenca, Ecuador

The sighting was seen by myself and my wife at about 9:15PM. We were on the balcony of our apartment when looking south towards the central area of Cuenca we spotted an unusually bright star when suddenly the object started getting bigger as it moved closer to us and then 4 more of these appeared. There was no sound and the objects emitted a orange/red glow. Continuing to watch and video on my phone the objects began moving away slowly and then disappeared only to re-appear about 15 minutes later. I did not video the second sighting although I wish I had because when the departed the second time, on of the crafts continued to gain altitude as it moved away from us and then we observed some type of object that had a flame trail as it dropped to earth and out of sight. I've never seen anything like this and have never reported a sighting.
