Glowing object headed southeast at different speeds for a period of 5 minutes. Object at times appeared to hover in place and had no exhaust trail coming from it that was visible, although the other aircraft in the immediate area and at relatively the same height did. After a few minutes the craft quickly changed directions and seemed to be following the nearest aircraft, which was headed southwest. The object when moving seemed a lot faster than the average rocket or plane. The object seemingly vanished after losing sight of it behind trees, even after several attempts to relocate it for a distance of roughly 5 miles.
