round yellow/orange light, this glowed from object

Irthlingborough, Northants. UK. I Was sat in my parked car (private car park, behind the house) . As I looked through the windscreen, I saw a bright yellow/orange light. Bigger than a star. The light moved slightly forward, at a quick pace. I then ran to the door at the back of my house and shouted to my girlfriend, to come and have a look. She had fallen asleep. When i looked back to see it, it had gone. Their were a couple of aircraft travelling in different directions at the time. But these in my opinion were definately not the object i saw. (I now wished i had stayed in the car to see where the object had gone!)
