unidentified flying object winter hill, rivington

Noticed a strange light hanging in the sky over the hill, at first I thought it was a plane after about 2 minutes I realized that other planes in the sky around looked nothing like this light, I also realized it was staying completely still just under the clouds, it was not yet dark,after about 10 minuets of watching the object, there was a flash that lit up area around my car and the surrounding fields, and with that giant flash the object disappeared.
