orange fireball seen over Winnipeg MB

An orange fireball appeared over south Winnipeg MB in the waning evening hours at dusk - appeared possibly to be an aircraft at first but was too low and stationary - was then considered to be some sort of fireworks but it remained stationary in the same spot for more than a minute without dimming - it was flickering so it was its only source of light. Unfortunately lost track of it so was unable to see what happened to it ultimately, whether it just disappeared or streaked off.
