Very bright orange light over Kalamazoo

I was coming out of my garage,and looked up at the sky as always. I saw a very bright, single non blinking orange light heading north over my home. I tried hard to see a craft, But could not. It made no sound. guessing 1000 ft.altitude. going maybe 100 miles per hour.Not super fast in a straight line. I watched it from my back yard until it was just a pinpoint. I noted the time at aprox. 11:45 pm. Very few clouds in the sky from what I could see. And it seemed to be below cloud level,as it did not leave my sight until it was too far away.
