Strange sightings over Lake Ontario Oct 1, 2015

From my 2nd flr balcony, facing west, circa 20:30h, vicinity Lakeshore Blvd. West and Burlingto St., Lake is in my backyard, (S. Etobicoke, On. Canada), saw what looked like 3 stacked objects (over each other), still, high in sky with flashing red lights and white lights, seemed shaped like boomerangs when there started to be motion from the first. It's because they stood still and '' stacked '' that I noticed.Otherwise, I would have thought these were airplaines.Then after staring for a minute or so, the top object (craft ?) took off horizontally and then seemed to come as a halfmoon (concave) turn to then head straight out flying East. Movement was not '' zip '' fast but as fast as an airplane would appear or slightly more. Lights were flashing red and white very brightly. As the frist ''craft '' disappeared to my right (towards 2 o'clock), the other 2 were still in ''stacked'' position (10 o'clock) to the left of my position when the second took off, following same flight pattern. The third object from the stack took off and followed same pattern and then, an additional half dozen appeared rather quickly, each one to it's turn, doing the same treck. I tried to film on my old phone but it didn't come out clear at all, other than flashes of light moving fast. Of a certainty, these were not airplanes. I'm sure other people must have seen.
