While walking bay bridge on a overcast morning w/no stars or mom. Saw bright lite/cloud in sky which began to grow in length (to a missile shape) for about 30 seconds. At the light's tip, it slowly grew wider; then what appeared to be a plane w/red lights flew out at a normal speed. The missile shaped cloud began to immediately dissipate, but glowed the whole time. The plane continued off at normal speed.
