several bright flashes on cloudless night

was not going to report this until i looked around the internet over the past couple days and found other sightings around here of the same kind of things. If I hadnt seen those then i wouldve filed it away as something i wasnt sure i had seen or if my mind imagined it. any way at around 1150pm im watching tv in my livingroom and out hte corner of my eye see 1 big flash like a single flash from a camera, only it illuminated everything like it was shot from above. i went out side to look around and saw nothing other than stars. not a single cloud. so i went back in and sat down again, around 3-4 minutes later im siting on my stool storage deal playing with my puppy and am looking out my front window and the flash starts again this time it was like a camera that does 1 flash and then a series of flashes rapidly after the 1st. like 1 flash and a halfsec. to a ful second then 4-5 flashes quickly i was looking out and could see everything outside the trees the shop the neighbores the plants in the garden. it was as bright as day but different like the light of l.e.d. headlights, super bright but with a bluish tint in it. i went outside again and saw nothing but clear sky and stars. Very strange and glad to read that others had seen something similar, maybee i can trust my eyes a little more i guess...
