Triangular object seen in North Texas

I was driving west on US 82. It was very dark. I had just talked to my daughter who wanted my to go look at Christmas lights. As I turned off the phone I seen 3 lights in the sky to my left. I was trying to figure out what it was, maybe a plane or a very high tower was what I was thinking. As I continued on US 82 toward Holliday, Tx. The lights started moving around very fast like it was spinning and as I watched them they became very bright and then nothing. I did not see then race off or anything like that, it was just gone.
