Basketball shape grey looking with holes in it.

My jeep dash light starter flicking and about half a mile later saw a basketball looking thing that was grey and white with holes in it fly out of nowhere hit drive side window slow my jeep down like on elevator. All it left was a smear like someone took finger and rub it around. I went back I could only find two deer beside the rd. Left little metal prices on window hard to see rub one off with finger and look like a type of rock or metal that I never seen kind of shiny.
I am just scare that it was something I never seen.
I am still shaken up and didn't know if I should tell anyone.
Hopefully this was a miss understanding and it could been a bird but didn't look like one.
