Triangular shaped object near my house

As a passenger in a pickup truck, late last fall (I'm guessing middle-to-late October, 2013), I looked out my window to see a triangular-shaped object up about 300 feet or so in the sky. It had to be huge-looking from my perspective, it was about two inches across. It had rounded edges to it and had a single, large light on the underside at each point of the triangle, each of which was softly illuminated. The whole craft was "glowing" a very faint medium blue. It made no sound, came in from the west at a fairly slow speed and then just hovered over a field near my house for about 20 seconds. As I watched, it just vanished. Within 5 seconds, two fighter jets appeared from the west at a high rate of speed. They circled the area once and went back to the west. Never saw the triangular shaped object again.
