Bright red light moving across the sky from west to east. It seemed to hover and turned South so I waited to see if it was a plane or helicopter. A small plane crossed it's path moving in the opposite direction which is the normal path for air traffic in my area. It suddenly sped up and in about 3 seconds it was out of sight. My wife witnessed the event.
