Blue machine floating across the sky

The object through the binoculars was like an erector set model or just a raw machine without a smooth cover. It had rough edges but no particular shape. It was floating slowly, moving from the west to the east. Something small was floating with it. It was attached like from a string or wire or rope. Much smaller and blue also, it looked like a balloon, The main object, looked like what i would think a drone would look like. Kind of two wheels of an octigon shape on two ends with a motor or something connecting them.
