Unusual lights across East Sky viewed Portland OR

Looking due east, 3 lights (brightness of Jupiter) rising near due east in triangle formation, they changed vector slightly more south about 15d up then each went dim exactly as satellite does when dropping out of sun while in orbit (takes 20 sec or so). No noise, no blinking lights, maybe some flux looking through low atmosphere of city. Group of 3 followed by 5 more lights from same sky origin but all on slightly different vectors and going dim at different elevation above horizon, None rising more than ~25d, last had most angled move about 30d N to while rising ~15d. Each was visible about 4-5 minutes. Had two others come out and observe, then one cyclist. Non of us have ever seen this movement in sky. Would have been like good ISS pass, but never in groups, differing paths, and falling of sun at different place in sky while moving through same area of sky. Conventional aircraft in sky at same time, but very different.
