orange bright lights in the sky of mebane nc

5 bright orange lights flying around before and after the fireworks. The lights kept moving at a high rate of speed shortly after the lights showed up saw some planes or should I say the lights from a plane trying to follow the bright orange lights but they could not match the speed the orange lights was doing. The orange lights moved up and down to start with and then left to right and after the planes started to follow them the shot up and was gone. A little while later they came back and flew in the same path as stated before the planes came back and once again they went up at a high rate of speed shortly after the fireworks was over all 5 of them came back and flew around and around at a high rate of speed and one by one shot up into the sky and was not seen again
