Looked like a plane flying backwards. Large white

I saw 3 airplanes that flew over my home within a few minutes of each other. The wierd thing was that the lights you see are normally facing the front to guide the plane. These were bight lights and were on the back of the plane. They looked like they were landing maybe 5 miles from my house. We do not have an airport nearby. 2 of those planes just kind of hovered for a few minitues. I did not hear anything when then passed over my house. They were very low.

They did display red flashing lights but the bight lights on the back of the aircraft doesn't make sense. And to see 3 of these crafts lining up for some landing was strange. We do have a New Hudson Airport 1 mile north of where I live but they were headed south and did not use the airport.
