Round ufo with blink white lights over eastern ky

While watch planes and stars outside with a kids we observed a round slow moving light fairly low in the sky. After about 10 minutes it barely moved a mile and the light grew brighter and we noticed it now had at least 3 lights which were blinking kind of fast. As it very slowly moved across the sky it seemed to be slowly turning and we heard a high pitch almost squealing sound. The closer it got the louder it got. Then stopped for a few minutes. We got scared and ran back into our house. We live on the very top of a mtn. About 2 miles up. When I found my cell phone which normally has excellent service had none at all. About 10 -15 minutes later the ufo had moved over about another mile. The lights were on all sides, white and blinking faster.
