Orange Red Light seen at night in Plainville, CT

Orange reddish light seen moving in a straight but wavering line heading north to north east. Speed was not steady, slowing and speeding up, but similar to a helicopter or small aircraft. Object height assumed to be around the hight of a small aircraft. Light was constant and did not change color but was almost hazy. No noise or engine sounds heard.
