I was outside having a conversation with my wife and looking at the sky to the West. I had seen many airplanes pass over, then noticed near overhead a bright flash. Like a meteor. Initially thought that was what it was. Then flashed again in a different spot more like an Easterly movenemt. Continued watching and saw it as a dim object like a magnitude -1 or so star. Then flashed brightly as magnitude -5 like the brightest international Space station sighting I've ever witnessed. When dimmed, it seemed to move faster. Lost sight of it at °120 with °90 being straight overhead from horizon East to west. It was a very clear night. Never witnessed this behavior in a satelite before. I watched for several more minutes across the whole sky in my yard and never picked it back up. May have been space trash like a rocket body flipping around catching sunlight but I don't know. It kind of freaked me out. Thought it was better to report just in case someone else witnessed it than not. I tried to take video with my Samsung S6 Active phone but with no luck. Never saw the flashes on the video. I hope someone else witnessed this. Thanks for the site so it could be reported!
