bright round light traveling from south to north

Thought i waswatching a satellight traveling in a northern direction so call my mother to come have a lok so we both saw it ,it was very high up not a plane no flashing lights or port and starbard lights then it suddenly stopped stayed motionless for a few secondsthen disappeared ,then a few seconds latter reapeared motionless then vanished ,this was no planeor satellite.
