Bright star like shape Object seen in Texas

Bright object just there in the sky,I thought it was a shooting star at first because it had something to come out of the object, the object looked like a huge star, but after looking at it
for several minutes, I knew it was something other than a star,I was at a friends house when I noticed the bright object, I told my friend I was just gonna go ahead and go home,I started driving to the apt.I noticed the object was following me, I arrived at the apartments and the object appeared to get a little closer, so I started taking pictures and hurried to get insude.
