Big Black Circular Object Flying Through Sky

Playing basketball with a big dark storm approaching. I was playing one on one with a friend who can back me up on this. We saw a lightning strike and then I asked him if he saw what I saw and we watched this big circular dark object fly through the sky away from us until it disappeared behind the far away tree line. It was definitely not an airplane, not a drone, not ball lightning. We didn't hear any sounds.
