Triangular object over int. 40 in Hickory NC

The object was flying over the interstate as I was driving west bound on I-40. It was triangular in shape. The object which looked solid at first began to dissolve into what looked like a small flock of birds then totally disappeared. There were no clouds this morning. I don't know what it was but seeing this made me re-think my sanity. I have thought about it all day today and decided to look up on the web if other people have seen this same thing and that is how I found this website and decided to report what I saw. I hope it was just birds because it really was strange.
