boomerang lighted flying object was massive

A huge boomerang flying object with tons of sparkling white lights was flying towards us from Stormville, NY mountains and was flying low then disappeared behind the trees. It was a beautiful sight to see, but a little scary because it was massive. It looked like a flying chandelier. I was yelling for my husband to come see but he took too long as it disappeared behind the trees.
