oval shaped.U.F.O. object, came down to clouds

Coming home from work, night shift, daylight morning . I looked up at the cloud line, on a mostly sunny sky. I seen a silver grey oval shaped object come down very quick. The U.F.O hovered stationary above cloud, but brief , few moments, then went up into space rapidly, diagonal. Also when the U.F.O was stationary it was tilted as if it, they had a window to look down Of course this is a guess.Occured while I was driving. ,north to south.
