UFO in San Clemente, silent, lights, then boom

So I'm on the deck looking out at the ocean with the fireworks going off and my mom says look there's those lights like last year, so I look, grab the binoculars and I'm checking it out, its hovering for a bit, red and green lights the it took off super fast like they show on the shows we watch. I'm a pilot and as far as I know we have nothing that can hover and take off like a jet except a harrier but this was not one for sure no noise. She said the same thing happened last year.
