moving star during daylight over North Hills CA 4

I was laying on my back doing yoga when I noticed a bright star in the sky. I couldn't tell if it was moving. I thought it might be a planet and then I noticed it was moving across the top off trees slowly to the south then back to the north for awhile then down between the trees. This all took like 20 minutes before it headed south behind the trees and i couldn't see through them. I went to the front yard and couldn't find it again. I have some pictures on my phone but need to put them on computer to upload. It looked like a star but moved randomly across the sky like no plane or balloon.
