Bright orange craft shape seen in Heanor.

The craft was above the Heanor/Langley Mill area at night time, it was extremely bright to start off with and then dimmed in and out until vanishing completely, it seemed to have a weird effect...almost as though it was translucent. It was there for at least 2 minutes in total, it started off as orange but then faded to an almost yellow/white colour. The object was very large producing no noise whatsoever and it stayed in the same position throughout. I've tried to come up with any other theory as to what it could have been but everything about it screamed UFO. It was also that night my brother drove home questioning his beliefs and wishing he had some sort of answer as to how everything came about. He was the one to witness this event and he shouted me down so I got the chance to see it in the last few seconds. It's really freaked him out, he felt as though they was in some way giving him a sign. There have been a lot of peculiar things over in the same direction and i'm very certain that it could be a potential hot spot.
