This was not a fireworks. First one slowly moved straight ( not upwards) over sky, stopped occasionally then moved slowly on. Struggled to get photo - got camera and fortunately a second one exactly the same followed after a dew moments. it moved slowing and silenty across then disappeared in a straight line at speed. inner round and very bright, outer orange to red. I have looked on line to see if anyone else saw it, and noted only sightings in Wanganui further south.
