Two star like lights in the sky / Australia

I had to take my dog outside and while there, I looked up into the sky. It was at that time that I saw two (2) lights. One was directly behind the other and they were travelling from South to North. They did not deviate from that course and the distance between the lights stayed exactly the same as well. They were travelling fast and vanished into the Northern sky. There was no sound, but I put this down to the height of the objects. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to get inside to get my camera to enable me to take a photo or video as it was all over in a matter of seconds.

As I explained to the Australian Air Force, although this is ANZAC Day I haven't had a drink. But this has me intrigued as to what it could have been. If it had just been one (1) light I would have put it down to a satellite. But this was two (2) as I have said.

I would be interested in learning exactly what I had seen.
